Classes
Nature Classes
We bring the classroom outdoors with stations that encourage kids to learn through play, along with crafts and adding to their nature journals.
𓇼𓇼𓇼
Nature Walks
These are short hikes where we meet at the beginning to possibly do a quick craft or add to our nature journals. Kids learn and explore as we go on the hike. We then stop for a snack, rest, and story time.
↟↟↟
Field Trips
Occasionally we will offer a field trip to enrich the children’s learning experience.

Special Events
We arrange fun events such as our annual Candy-Free Easter Egg Hunt in the woods every so often, so stay on the lookout for those! You can always invite family or friends to these events, as long as the participants are signed up in advance.
༄ ༄༄
Play Dates
These are free meet-ups in which we arrange a day to get together outside of regular class times. For example: sometimes this means meeting up to take care of our community garden.
Your Questions, Answered
-
You will pay per participant.
This means you do not pay for your baby in a baby carrier or stroller, or a teenager standing off to the side. Once a child begins participating at whatever age that may be, we begin charging for them.
Each child is different; we do not believe in a “one size fits all” approach.
Furthermore, if you have more than one child, you will pay for each of them. For example, if the class costs $8 and you have 4 kids, you will book 4 spots and pay $32.
-
Open to all ages of kids, but geared towards a range of 1-8 yr olds. Siblings are always welcome.

Yes!
Simply look at our schedule and decide if it works for you to come to that specific class and sign up! There is no required long-term commitment with our group. Classes will always be on Mondays, so take a look and sign up on a week-to-week basis, depending on which classes you plan to come to.

Though we are modeled for the homeschooled kids of Whatcom County, we welcome everyone.
Classes are Mondays, year-round. Occasionally, we’ll have a special event on a different day of the week, so it’s always worth it to take a look at the schedule to see if you can make it.
-
We are local to Whatcom County. Specifically, our home base is in Birch Bay. Each week, we go to a different local spot in Whatcom County, so always check the schedule for the exact meeting spot details.
-
Parents will always stay with their children at our meet-ups; we are not a drop-off group.
